Health Camp in Buikwe District

Together with partners, we carried out a  4 day health camp in Buikwe District with the major aim of bringing services closer to people most especially those that can’t afford them.

A wide range of diseases were screened and medical attention given such as malaria, syphilis, HIV, sickle cells, cervical cancer and other services such as immunisation, family planning and other sexual reproductive health and rights services.

Despite the availability of hospitals in the region, people still do not access the services due to the costs associated , the long distances it would take and lack of information.

As we continue to sensitize the communities on the dangers of self /home treatment and the need to seek for medical attention in case of sickness, we call upon all to join and or support us in the next medical camps organized for the good health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.
